Active Minds is in Partnership with Croydon NHS Talking Therapies to provide free activities and peer support groups to anyone receiving Talking Therapy Support, while on waiting list, during treatment and for up to a year after discharge.

We are specialised in supporting people experiencing poor mental health to get more active, all of our groups are tailormade and therapeutic. We welcome beginners and always make sure that we adapt the sessions to our client’s needs.

Please see below a short summary of our groups, the in-person sessions take place at Bethlem Royal Hospital:

Mindful Movements (in-person)

This session aims to bring our awareness to our movement and focus on our breath or the way our body feels as it moves. Suitable for all levels including beginners.

 

Peer Support Group (online & in-person)

A welcoming space for people who have taken part in talking therapies to come together, connect and help each other improve their well-being,  facilitated by a member of staff.

Social Group (in-person)

Time to meet and chat or play table tennis, foosball, pool table if you want.

 

Sound Healing / Yoga / Meditation (online & in-person)

Gentle breathing and stretches practice with soothing music followed by relaxation suitable for all levels including beginners.

Croydon Talking Therapies provide free guided self-help, counselling, CBT and online therapy for those over 17. They also provide free group therapy, workshops, specialist therapy for those with long-term health conditions and employment support. Please use the link below to self-refer if you are interested.
