CLOSED – Job – Advocacy Service Manager

  • Grade 5 scale point S16 to S20a on the Mind Salary Scale £32,144 to £35,000 per annum.  Salary on appointment will depend on abilities and qualifications

You will run our successful team dealing with a wide range of issues. The two Advocates and the Advocacy Manager operate in the community and in the Bethlem Hospital, with inpatients including some highly complex cases, carrying out general advocacy in the community and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA). You will be IMHA qualified (ideally with the IAQ) and devise strategy for the service responding to funding needs. You will require leadership skills to take the service forward. Experience of working in mental health is essential and you will ideally have some knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. You must be able to travel to and from different sites in the borough where clients are seen, including from our office at the Bethlem Hospital.
