The Tree of Hope
A large Christmas tree has been donated to East Croydon station by the Whitgift Centre and commuters/general public are being encouraged to make a donation and write their wishes for the future in response to the pandemic, which will then be hung on the tree; hence the name “Tree of Hope”
Below is a message from the staff at East Croydon Station.
“All the staff at East Croydon station would like to wish you festive greetings and hope for a more optimistic New Year.
2020 has been a year of many challenges for us all, which is why we would like you to write your messages, of inspiration, hope and reflection for our Tree of Hope on the station concourse.
If you can please hand your messages on gift tags to the ticket sales staff, so they can hang them on the tree.
