Mind in Croydon announces new trustees
Mind in Croydon has appointed 5 new trustees to strengthen its Board and meet new challenges.
Brett Garcia, Chair at Mind in Croydon, said, “I’m delighted to announce the appointment of 5 new trustees to our Board – Saba Khan, Jill Kyne, Grace Obar, David Sayers, Angelica Thomas all bring something new to our organisation, and I’m incredibly pleased that, after an open and collaborative recruitment process, we’ve been able to attract such strong and diverse talent to join our existing trustees. Together, we will be able to support Philippa Thompson, our Chief Executive, who joined us just over a year ago in the most challenging of times, with the pandemic and multiple lockdowns, and her Executive team to reshape the future of essential mental health support for people in Croydon”.
“We see collaboration and partnerships across the voluntary sector and working with statutory healthcare providers as key to mental health and wellbeing services and support in Croydon as we begin to experience the long-term impact of the pandemic on local services and with local people” Philippa said. “And the creativity, innovation and experience that our new Board members bring with them will be invaluable as we navigate changes in services, funding and commissioning structures over the next few years”.
The 5 new trustees are:
