Carmina Burana
Come and hear a 250-voice choir perform Carl Orff’s rousing Carmina Burana, one of the most dramatic and popular choral works of our times. Croydon Philharmonic Choir is combining with Basingstoke Choral Society and the choir of St Mary’s C of E Primary School, Oxted for the occasion, backed by Docklands Sinfonia who will also play George Gershwin’s evocative Rhapsody in Blue. Completing the repertoire is Constant Lambert’s enchanting jazz-age The Rio Grande, for choir and orchestra. This is sure to be an exciting and enthralling evening, not to be missed!
