CLOSED – Job – Head of Business Development

  • Grade 6 scale point S21 to S28 on the Mind Salary Scale £35,649 to £40,105 per annum.  Salary on appointment will depend on abilities and experience

You will maximise the business development opportunities for our successful Local Mind Association, Mind in Croydon Ltd. We already have an income of £1.5 million per annum, own three charity shops with flats to rent and own two of the three buildings from which we undertake client work. We have a number of service delivery contracts to provide services to Croydon Council, and Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group for projects such as counselling, advocacy and welfare benefits advice and have benefitted over the years from major grants from sources such as the Big Lottery and Comic Relief. We have continued to expand and are looking for a Head of Business Development to maximise income both from statutory sources and elsewhere. You will maximise income from our shops and buildings being responsible for shop managers and certain independent contractors. You will have experience of seeking out new business opportunities, costing them, advising the Trustee Board and setting these up to become successful income streams. As well as service delivery, we have been successful in raising funds from training, carrying out events, doing paid outreach in our MindMatch project and many other ventures. You will have experience of completing tenders and grant applications, as well as expertise in creating successful commercial ventures.
