Jobs – 2 Social Networking Caseworkers Needed
We are looking for two Social Networking Caseworkers. These posts, based at Fairfield House in East Croydon promote social inclusion in people recovering from mental illness by helping them to identify and participate in mainstream activities such as: education; faith and cultural activities; arts and culture; sport and exercise; neighbourhood/community activities etc. These activities take place in a variety of places in the community, at the project itself and in peoples’ homes. You will be required to work 36 hours per week any time including if necessary, early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You need to be flexible and will be required to work your hours to meet the needs of service users (for example, if a service user needs to be taken to hospital emergency department towards the end of a shift or they wish to undertake a regular early morning activity) and this may be required at short notice.
You will have: experience of working with vulnerable adults or transferable skills gained as eg a teacher/nursery worker etc; an understanding of boundaries; common sense; ability to get on with clients and professionals such as social workers and psychiatrists, and enthusiasm.
