Jobs – 2 x Social Networking Caseworkers Needed (Male)

We are looking for two Male Social Networking Caseworkers (one full time 36 hours per week and one part time 21 hours per week). They will work from our innovative and award winning Social Networking project in East Croydon. These posts help to promote recovery and social inclusion in people recovering from mental health issues by helping them to identify and participate in mainstream activities such as: education; faith and cultural activities; arts and culture; sport and exercise; neighbourhood/community activities etc.  These activities take place in a variety of places in the community, at the project itself and in peoples’ homes. You will be required to work on a rota basis, including if necessary, early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You need to be flexible and will be required to work your hours to meet the needs of service users. Occasionally this may be required at short notice. You will have: experience of working with vulnerable adults or transferable skills gained as eg a teacher/nursery worker etc; an understanding of boundaries; common sense; ability to get on with clients and professionals such as social workers and psychiatrists. In return, your enthusiasm, expertise and dedication will be rewarded with the opportunity to work within a strong and committed team which makes a real difference to clients’ lives. The atmosphere, cohesiveness and support within the team at our Social Networking Service is second to none.

Please note, our new Social Networking Caseworkers must be male. This is to help with running mens’ groups, and providing one to one support in male clients’ homes as part of our Mindmatch project.

The application pack and more information can be found here.
