New group at the Croydon Health & Wellbeing Space

The Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space and the Recovery Space have been working together to host a brand-new group called Connect and Cope, aimed at tackling loneliness and social isolation, specifically for people aged 50 years old and above.

The group will focus on peer support, with a fun, interactive activity to get people talking and making new friends.

Each group will target a different area of mental health and emotional wellbeing, focusing on anxiety, sleep, low mood (including self-harm and suicidal thoughts), stress, self-esteem, and grief and bereavement. There will also be the opportunity to learn some coping skills and self-help tools in each session.

Support workers will be available to provide information and signposting to various support services where appropriate.

Refreshments will be served.
